BUSINESS ASSOCIATION GRANTS

The Business Association Grant Program is funded by the City of Portland and administered by the APNBA. The maximum amount granted is $5000. Grants are not renewable and the funds must be returned if the project is not undertaken. Depending on the number of requests received and the amount of funds available, applicants may not receive the full amount requested. The applicant must attend the December 8th orientation session and match the requested grant amount with volunteer hours, donations, or in-kind contributions.

BDA Grant Cycle
  1. Applications are available November 12.
  2. Orientation session is December 8.
  3. Applications are due December 19.
  4. Decisions are made by January 20.
  5. Projects receive funding January 26.
  6. Projects should be complete by July 31.
  7. Project evaluations are due by August 31.
The grant form has changed and you are required to attend an orientation session. Someone from your organization MUST attend for your group to be eligible. The date is December 8th, at 6:30 PM at Friendship Masonic Center, 57th and NE Sandy, A Frequently Asked Questions booklet is available to help you determine eligibility and complete the form correctly. APNBA Grant History
APNBA has been providing grants to business district associations from City funds since 1995. In 2005, the City contracted with APNBA to add a grant cycle for business district associations, small chambers of commerce, and non-profits. The Grant History provides a decade long list of business district self-improvements.
